Flex Cop : Placebo EP Tour (Sat 06/09)

Flex Cop will be kicking off the Australian tour of his Placebo EP at the “House of House’ Geisha Bar on Saturday September 6th.

Brisbane based producer Flex Cop mixes elements of French-influenced “nu-disco” and splashes of jackin’ soul to create a truly unique electronic dance sound: One part Gui Boratto, one part Jamiroquai, with production “just so damn crisp” (Dave Ruby Howe, TripleJ Unearthed Music Director), and basslines that flex hard!

Following on from his “I Been Looking” release on Lucid Dreaming, featured on Beatport’s “Must Hear Nu Disco” Chart, that found solid club support streaming in from Maya Jane Coles, Hot Since 82, MK, Pleasurekraft, Amine Edge, Audiojack, Danny Daze, Adana Twins, Carl Cox and more, Flex Cop returns with a showing of his most confident production yet – the irresistible “Placebo”, a track at once both euphoric and familiar with swirls of trumpets & signature driving bass. Also featuring a stunning deep throwback remix from Beatport Top 10 Overall and OFF Recordings heavy hitters Teenage Mutants while on the flip Flex Cop gives the original a strong dub treatment with the late night “Nocebo” while Murat Kilic’s techy take on the original (currently supported by Adana Twins) is perfectly crafted for the likes of Ibiza’s DC10 dancefloor.

Support from Lucid Dreaming’s Aarin F and James Francis and our very own Nu Disco Prince Fishtrek.
