Sydney electronic duo wordlife make music for life – sometimes it’s happy and
positive and others it’s time to get dark and dirty in the club but whatever the
mood it’s always cutting edge. The wordlife sound is constantly moving
forward looking to set new trends instead of following old ones combining their
love of techno, ghetto house, rap, r&b, positive rave music and futuristic
Synthesised sounds as evidenced on their first two singles ‘Vision’ (Motorik)
and Breakthrough (Club Mod) which received significant radio play on
Australian national youth radio station Triple J.
Acclaimed Remixes of Claude Vonstroke, The Presets, Rufus, Safia, Crooked
Colours, Anna Lunoe, Yolanda Be Cool amongst others have seen wordlife’s
stock rise as one of Australia’s most sought after remixers. Collaborations
with Daniel Merriwether, DJ Funk, Anna Lunoe, Beni and Joyride both
released and forthcoming should help further hook the world in to the wordlife
sound.

wordlife’s Live Show sees wordlife reconstruct their own tunes and remixes using live drums, samplers, keys, vocals and the ableton push to create a captivating and infectious vibe that has seen wordlife support the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, The Presets (full national tour support), Ryan Hemsworth, Brodinski, Gessafelstein and many more plus festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Future Music, Field Day, Parklife, Secret Garden, Mountain Sounds amongst others.

With releases already on top Australian labels like Modular’s Club Mod, Motorik, So Solid plus L.A.’s Dim Mak records and Chicago’s seminal Dance Mania imprint the future looks bright for wordlife.
