Strayan vegans are at it again!

A vegan bride-to-be has banned all non-vegans from coming to her wedding. Not just people who refuse to eat vegan on the day; but people who refuse to be vegan fullstop.

The bride-to-be wrote on a vegan Facebook group:
“When your ‘family’ tries to guilt trip you into letting them come to your fully vegan wedding, even though they’re omnivores. Just for some context, some family members were told they are not invited to my wedding because we don’t want to host murderers. Our wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives.”

What the actual fuck. Vegans, I feel incredibly fucking sorry for you when you have people like this representing your community. I myself am a bridesmaid for a vegan couple getting married and there has been not one jot said about veganism/non-veganism on the day. Because weddings are NOT A POLITICAL PLATFORM. They are the day you share your love with your friends and family, they are not about sharing your militant stance on your diet.

Thankfully, it seems that most of the vegans in the Facebook group told her what a fucked-up idea that is, chiding her for calling her family “murderers”, and saying the family should cut her out of their lives.

I know I would!

Attitudes like this are not about veganism in the slightest, veganism is merely a tool used to implement judgmental behaviour, and it seems to me that there are probably underlying issues at play and using “veganism” as a scapegoat is a weak-ass bitch move. The bride-to-be could have used her wedding as an opportunity to show a range of tasty vegan dishes and act as an ambassador for veganism, but all she did was let the team down and give vegans a bad reputation.

If you know who this lady is, leave a rotting steak in her mailbox for me.
