Cassettes for kids (Sat 03/02)

Calling all Kings, Queens and Jokers! Come and join us for for another edition of House of Cards presented by Open Sesame x Carte Blanche.

Taking over Geisha Bar this time with the one and only…

>>> CASSETTES FOR KIDS! <<<

Despite its friendliness and warmth, the Cassettes For Kids (CFK) project is most appropriately likened to an iceberg. At the ‘tip’ is Zak’s elemental fusion of nostalgic rave, house and soul that props up his high energy, genre-spanning music and performances; below the surface, the innate talent, experience and passion that is impossible for even the most devout of fans to fully appreciate.

As the great ruler and emperor of his Point of You imprint, CFK has made progressively larger waves in the ever-evolving world of electronic music. With sold-out shows at Australian hotspots like Sub Club, Lost Sundays (where his DnB primed Boiler Room set created a joyous frenzy), and ATET, he’s firmly established himself as a dynamic force in the national scene – with the international labyrinth well-and-truly in his sights. His genre-blurring discography has caught the ears of household DJ names such as DJ Boring, Salute, Folamour, and Moxie, finding a regular place in the sets of the industry’s most respected selectors – a reality that landed his tracks on Spotify playlists consulted by music lovers around the globe. As he continues to push these performative boundaries, Zak stands as a beacon of creativity and innovation for the scene’s up-and-coming artists and the scene they are becoming a part of, and in doing so continues to knit himself into the fabric of Australia’s burgeoning electronic music scene.

This House of Cards is not to be missed! Also featuring an ace lineup of local support:
• PTMC • LIVVY RATBAG • MEOW • JULI GAGO • PUKKA
