The Habitat DJ Competition is Perth’s most prestigious dj comp. Now in it’s 7th year, the competition has been responsible for discovering some of Perth’s finest DJ talent, many of whom have gone on to become some of Perth’s top club djs. Past finalists have won a toltal of 9 Perth Dance Music Awards between them. Not only that, many of our contestants have used the opportunity to get exposure to the industry and have gone on to perform regularly at Perth’s top clubs and events.

This year not only do we welcome our new major sponsor Store DJ, but we we are expanding the range of styles dj’s can enter with, reflecting the expanding electronic music markets that we are involved in. Entrants can play…

The top 2 from each heats will go into the final. The winner, as selected by our industry judging panel will receive themselves $500 cash, plus a $500 voucher from our major sponsor Store DJ. The runner-up will receive $200 cash. All finalists will also receive a free Store DJ USB.

This year we are also selecting a punters choice winner as well, which we be chosen by the punters on the night. They will receive a $500 voucher from Store DJ. All contestants will receive a free membership to Store DJ (valued at $50).

The winners will also be given the chance to play for Habitat at one of our events alongside a yet to be announced international artist, PLUS the opportunity to join the Habitat / Geisha roster.
