Calling all party people….It’s that time again. After a monstrous Club Jam with the heavyweights Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought we were just itching to throw down another jam. So polish your breakin’ boots as the beat merchants get set to deliver an international flavoured edition of LooseFreQs. With a taste of all thats British, we welcome back our very good friend and definite shenanigan starter Beta. Adding to the import list we have the uber-talented Blastique delivering his precision beats from Malaysia, and one of New Zealands greatest exports in Joe Revell. From the local market of all things fresh, we give you the quality sets of the breakbeat encyclopaedia that is Roxright, and a local dish that is making big moves on the world wide production scene – Phase Animator.

Beta is one of the UK’s premier producers and djs in the international nuskool and progressive breakbeat scene. His tracks are loaded with hard, funky, driving basslines, and unforgettable rifts that are polished off with impeccable production quality. As his talent and sound progressed over the years, it has manifested in to a hard, techy, progressive frenzy that not only storms dancefloors, but exists on its own compositionally.

Beta has an impressive portfolio of releases under his belt in the years that he has been producing. Dropping the dopest tracks on some of the dopest labels: Bombtraxx, Ayra, and Sound of Habib just to name a few. He continues to help build and guide the development of the nuskool genre. Original productions like Headspace, Reality Grinds, and the more recent Iron Peach are storming the Beatport charts. His remixes of tracks like Every Body, Chase it High, and Bangin’ Machine are considered to be essential by current breakbeat djs and EDM enthusiasts. Beta has worked with top-notch producers like Karl Sav, Hironimus Bosch, and Memser and has remixed tracks by Left/Right & Digital Pizza, Kid Digital, Karton and a host of other players in the breaks scene.

Beta started out Djing breaks at the start this century and has since been entertaining crowds cross the globe using his own exclusive material, bootlegs and mashups. In the studio he takes Influences from funk, drum and bass, house, indie and just about every style to create a unique sound, never lacking in bass or beats. Singles and remixes have gained support from the likes of Hybrid, The Crystal Method, The Freestylers and DJ Icey. With releases on Sound of Habib, En:Vision, Scarcity Records and Downbeat to name a few, he’s always featuring regularly on Beatport’s top 10.
