M.O.V.E. : Kutmah (Fri 21/02)

The M.O.V.E. Foundation for Musical Health and Well-being is proud to present…K U T M A H

With local support from Clunk (ICSSC) and the {move} residents Ben M & Ben Taaffe.

One of the freshest minds in beat music, Kutmah’s open-minded and forward thinking
approach to DJing has earned him a reputation as one of the most creative DJs on the
planet. An intrinsic member of the eclectic Los Angeles-based music collective dublab and
underground art crew HIT+RUN, in 2004 Kutmah launched the seminal club “Sketchbook”,
which forged fundamental roots of the now-infamous LA beat scene. Fusing a hip hopwildstyle
aesthetic with modern beat futurism, Kutmah connects the hidden dots between
soul, psychedelia, electronica and pop without ever missing a beat.
Since his time in LA, Kutmah relocated to England and currently resides in London, where
Sketchbook was reincarnated as a weekly show on NTS Radio. There he has continued to
further his reputation as one of the most fearless selectors around and in 2012 Gilles
Peterson invited him to curate the second CD in Brownswood’s (Peterson’s label) Worldwide
Family series…
Joining the IZWID label boss at the controls on the night is I.C.S.S.C. wunderkind Clunk and
{move} resident selectors Ben M and Ben Taaffe.
