Maiko : Luke Fair (Sat 22/09)

Obelix Music & MAiKO are very proud to present one of house music’s favourites… LUKE FAIR (Discoteca, Balance Series). After an amazing night last September and easily one of the best sets to ever be played at Geisha we just had to get him back to do it all over again for a massive 3 hour+ set !

Few other DJs have stayed more true to their sound than Luke Fair, he has not swayed by trends or vogue sounds that come and go, Luke’s dedication to funky, emotive, irresistable house music has earnt him universal respect around the globe.

At the forefront of Canada’s growing dance scene is Luke Fair. He’s performed at some of the most prestigious venues and events in the world, offering club goers a taste of his funky – techy eclectic house sound each and every weekend. His sets include everything from groovy house and techno to funky progressive and electro. Constantly re-editing tracks to customize his sets, Luke’s ongoing desire to make every set stand out from the others is very evident.

Luke has pushed his sound the world over, headlining at world renowned clubs like Pacha (Buenos Aires), Bedrock and Ministry of Sound (London), Red Light (Paris), Space (Miami), ‘Zouk’ club (Singapore) and Womb (Tokyo). He was chosen by Danny Howells and Deep Dish as their ‘future hero’ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 issue and also toured with DJ Sasha to open up for him in every US city on the Involver CD release tour.

Now with three major compilations to his credit (‘In House We Trust 3’ alongside Desyn Masiello on Yoshitoshi, ‘OS_0.3’ on Bedrock and ‘Balance 011’ on EQ Recordings), Luke still finds much love in releasing a constant flow of timeless promo and live mixes. The underground community anxiously awaits the next Luke Fair download knowing it will always be constructed with the utmost care and precision. Check out his Soudcloud for a collection of his recent work.
