RTRFM’S FULL FREQUENCY PRESENTS ALTERED STATES

RTRFM’s flagship dance music program Full Frequency will come to life at Altered States – a huge night showcasing Perth’s thriving house, techno and electro scene with an all-out assault on the dance floor on Friday 17 May at Geisha Bar.

World-class producer Joe Starwarz headlines the bill, bringing his gorgeously blissedout sonic terrain of ambient-house and various flavours of techno that feature on his releases with premier Scottish techno label Soma Records.

Reece Walker returns from honing his skills in the European home of Techno – Berlin – to deliver a live show with new collaborator Emerald Cabal (aka Alex Campbell) bursting with slamming house assaults, glitched out industrial textures, and squelchy acid rave.

Emerging beat maker Basic Mind is the solo moniker of local producer Tim Loughman; expect spaced-out melodic compositions and left field beats that take techno and turn it on its head.

The Altered States line-up also features Perth’s finest house and techno music DJs delivering as diverse and eclectic array of sounds as the Full Frequency program itself. Performing on the decks will be Allstate – the solo DJ moniker of Jeremy Martin, Dario Krsic aka El Dario – winner of the Perth Dance Music Awards (PDMA) House DJ 2012, Full Frequency’s Thursday presenter Declan Doherty and Tuesday presenter Craig Hollywood (winner of the PDMA Best Techno DJ 2012).
