Habitat & Geisha Bar are proud to present the debut Perth appearance of German superstar Fritz Kalkbrenner.

The release of the 2008 motion picture “Berlin Calling” saw the elevation of brothers Fritz and Paul Kalkbrenner from underground music icons to international celebrity status. Both Fritz and Paul both composed the soundtrack and featured in the cult movie, with the unmistakable voice of Fritz featuring many of the tracks including the anthem “Sky and Sand”.

With the 2010 release of his debut album Here Today Gone Tomorrow, Fritz no longer stands in his brother’s shadow, but is celebrated for a soul sound that is all his own. Something akin to Balearic guitar riffs meet rave tracks and warm house beats hover over a cinematic and melancholic sound. And rising above it all is Fritz’s voice.
