Lancelot “Thinking of You” EP Tour

Geisha is proud to present Lancelot’s debut WA tour. Sydney’s 23-year-old Lance Gurisik continues on his gallant campaign for disco domination with the all the tenacity and grit of his knightly namesake.
LANCELOT’S breakout single ‘Spoken Word’, released March 2012 on Goldroom’s Binary imprint threw the gauntlet way beyond the comfortable, beachside confines of his Sydney studio. By April, 50 000 spins on Soundcloud later, he was headlining rooms from Sydney to Melbourne to London and Paris and beyond while earning pride of place in the record bags of artists such as The Magician, Alan Braxe and Perseus.
After merely a handful of months manning the disco platters, LANCELOT found himself center stage in Australia, warming the wheels for other noble journeymen of jive including Jamie Jones, Julio Bashmore, Adana Twins, Aeroplane, T. Williams, Horse Meat Disco, Louisahhh, Gigamesh, Punks Jump Up and a panoply of local house brigands.
Time has hardened the man, the open road with her many pitfalls and pleasures have extended LANCELOT’S sonic horizons.
A new EP, to be released on June 25th on NURVOUS RECORDS (Maxxi Soundsystem, Danny Daze, Cassian) demonstrates the same scholastic approach to dancefloor composition which earned LANCELOT his spurs, but with a more restrained, focused edge. The release comes just in time for a tour taking in dates across Australia including a secret hometown Sydney show for just 100 people.
LANCELOT is saddling up for a big year, and he’s very much looking forward to sharing this epic new chapter with his growing army of fans.
