Geisha Presents: Dom Dolla (Sat 14/01)

Due to unfortunate events Dom Dolla was unable to play at Geisha in November but we are excited to announce that he will be back to finish off his ‘You’ tour in January!

To say Dom Dolla came from humble beginnings is a gross understatement. Dom grew up in the dusty far northern city of Darwin, where he was more akin to salt water and crocodile pies than smoke machines & lasers. As his love of all things music developed, Dom relocated to Melbourne. With its wet winters and polished club culture, the metropolis was a creative hotbed perfect for Dom to garner a musical career. Using his combined musical earlobes and love of the disco, it was not long before his polished productions were waxing down dance floors to a worldwide audience.

A few weeks ago Dom’s latest single “You” hit No1 on the Aria club charts (perfect timing for the Tour we think). His debut single ‘Define’ also hit number 1 on the Aria Club Chart, featured in a Hollywood film and notched almost 2 million collective plays online. Earlier this year Dom performed the single with a 16-piece orchestra at the APRA awards, the first electronic single to be performed live in the association’s proud history.

If you haven’t heard it already just a couple of weeks ago he released a massive remix of Pnau’s song chameleon which already has

A man of class and character, Dom Dolla is surrounded by the best of blokes. A part of the esteemed LTM Crew, he was signed with global tastemakers Sweat It Out and Maker Agency just months apart. Here he joins the combined rosters of What So Not, Tame Impala, Cassian, Golden Features and Motez.

Dom Dolla’s brand of “dance-floor currency” is reveled the world over, and was recently immortalised by an invitation to mix Ministry of Sound’s 2016 Annual compilation. Couple this with his superlative remix work (sprinkling his bass house magic on the likes of RUFUS, Monkey Safari & The Aston Shuffle) it’s easy to see what makes Dom Dolla such a figure in the Australian house music landscape.

To conclude, it would only make Cents to save your Dollas and get down early. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
