We tour a lot of artists here at Habitat, but one acts name has come up again and again of late… Pele & Shawnecy. EVERY artist is playing there tunes atm. They are KILLING IT !!

Since joining forces in 2009 their very different backgrounds have come together to produce dancefloor bombs.

PELE from munich, germany, a longstanding activist in the local electronic music scene and inspired by the Frankfurt Techno School, released in the past as a solo artist on top labels like Cocoon Recordings, Upon.You, Connaisseur and many more.
He already crossed half the globe as a DJ and sonicated all top clubs such as “Panorama Bar”, “Watergate”, “Katerholzig” in recent years. Born into a highly musical family, he learned about the timely musical craft: guitar solos and great Rockstar plans were at an early age for the time being on the program. Until it is then after dissipated Ibiza trips the teenager decided for electronic 4/4 beats and put place on decks.

SHAWNECY, a native Persian, has completely contrasting musical roots. Michael Jackson’s hip, he sings and dances for various chart and show acts, and later even worked as a choreographer and dancer in Europe and as a singer on tour. Ibiza was also for him in the early twenties a spark for something new, different, extremely interesting. Techno & House. Its solid stage experience including him as a singer of a successful dance project with major chart success, he knows very well how to entertain his audience live.

As different as their musical roots and origins – the more interesting blends perhaps because the musical fusion and Metharmorphose. Their sound is a striking blend of PELE’s electronic beats, his understanding of DJ Tracks & Packages, Breaks & sounds – coupled with Shawnecy’s vision just here to bring his own touch with. His vocal – this is almost a unmistakable hallmark of the duo, his Urban Roots & elements which flow constant “track by track” with. And of course live his unmistakable style on the decks alongside Pele.

At the end of 2011 appears PELE & SHAWNECY’s first major EP on the label “Cécille Records”. An incredible debut and success. 6 tracks, all of which, without exception, found themselves in all DJ Charts & Playlists of the great big player – would have a better entry you can not lie down. Urban Techno was Born!

Step by step it moves forward. “Back 2 Army” mutated on Get Physical Music as an international club hit and follow-up single, “Kings Of The Garden Part II” to “Cecille Numbers” and “Free Your Style” on Monika Kruse’s Label “TERMINAL M”. You are of your head start from 2012 to none .. The boys outdo themselves No wonder even the visionary SVEN VÄTH recognizes the potential of the 2 guys and got signed the fresh duo already with an own EP on Cocoon Recordings, which appears in the spring of 2013.

Music is hard to describe, you have to experience. Pele & Shawnecy is certainly more. Their sound is unique. Unmistakable. Not only because of the distinctive voice – musically somehow special. Live on the decks makes it both fun to watch. You do what you love and make good simplifies …
