Hopefully your new year sprang to life between champagne bubbles, exuberant hugs, and shaking your booty to serious bass. And now? Isn’t it time you gift yourself a new beginning? Perhaps you’ve always wanted to learn belly dancing. Or kite surfing. Or how to cook Thai cuisine. Well, this is the time of the year for it.

As for me — I just hope someone or some people out there saw one of our amazing djs dropping tracks like hot stones over the festive season and thought “I’d love to do that”. Well, I am here to tell you to give it a go. You don’t need to resolve to be the best, to headline the next Stereosonic or take out number 1 in DJ Mag (a dubious honour at any rate).

I am here to suggest you simply give music a go for the love of the music. Everything in life thrives on dynamic variety and taking brave chances. There is plenty of great software for novice djs, and many incredible people who teach djing in Perth. You might even be ready to give our DJ comp a go this year.
